Summary
Laptop with both Linux and Windows operating systems
- High capacity hardrive > 100 GB something like 160 - 200 GB
- RAM: 2GB-4GB
- Graphic card - nvidia card as it is LINUX compatible - STAY AWAY
FROM ATI as it has issues with Linux
- Latest fast processor available such as Intel(r) Core™ 2 Duo
processor with 2GHz or similar
Laptop used by other members
- Toshiba P100 with Intel Core 2 Duo T7400, 2GB RAM, GeForce 7900
GS and very good 17" LCD
- Core Duo CPU about Pentium4 2 GHz, with 1 Gb RAM and 128 graphic card, TOSHIBA
Desktop
- May be a Desktop is a better choice to analyze MD simulations
results as it is scalable. Much better configurations are available at
reasonable price.
