help on error message during compiling

Dear NAMD user,
I am trying to compile NAMD on turing. I have the following error
message:

ld: table of contents for
archive: /turing/home/bqluan/NAMD_2.6b1_Source/charm-5.9/net-ppc
darwin/bin/../lib/libmodulecommlib.a is out of date; rerun ranlib(1)
(can't load from it)
Fatal Error by charmc in
directory /turing/home/bqluan/NAMD_2.6b1_Source/MacOSX-PPC-c++
