Hi,
I am still collecting registration forms for the SIU Ballroom Dance
Club Workshops. I am going to mail them out tomorrow. If you want to
participate, please come to practice tonight to turn in your
registration. I'll need to know if you are planning to spend Saturday
night at SIU and if you can provide or need a ride. I have attached
the registration form to this email. (It's a Word document.) I will
also have some forms with me at 310 Freer Hall tonight.
The SIU Ballroom Dance Club is providing a set of workshops on April
15, and the Dancing Illini have been invited to participate. The
prices are extremely reasonable, and they have offered us crash space.
Southern Illinois University is a 3 1/2 hour drive from Champaign. I
am arranging carpools to this event.
Dancers of all levels are encouraged to participate. We will be
skipping the first workshop because it is American Waltz, which we
don't do. If you have dance experience in jive, quickstep, or cha cha
please consider attending the workshops for the dances you know.
The professional dancers, Donald Johnson and Katarzyna Kozak, will be
putting on a half hour show that evening. Following the show is a
social dance with a live band.

TICKET PRICES FOR THE WORKSHOPS ARE:
 $5 per non-student per workshop
 $3 per student per workshop (this includes UIUC - full and
part time)
All Classes will be limited to 30 couples per class.

8:00 p.m. - Combination Live Band and CD Dance Presented in Cooperation
with the Moonlight Ballroom Dance Society.
TICKET PRICES FOR THE SHOW ARE:
 $8 for students
 $12 for non-students.
Tickets may or may not be sold at the door, depending on turnout and
room capacity.
PLEASE BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE TO RESERVE A SEAT! NO VIDEO TAPING
ALLOWED!
Set-up includes soft drinks and snacks. Due to school policy, there
will be no alcoholic beverages allowed at this event.
