Dear Dancing Illini:
Want to dance better? Take a break from fighting with your partner, clear
your schedule, and come to the DI GENERAL PRACTICE from 8-10 pm on Wednesday,
June 23 in the KRANNERT OPERA REHEARSAL ROOM. Dancing Illini Summer Practices
are FREE to everyone!
There will also be a Quickstep "Quickie" taught around 8 pm by DI President,
Rob Miller.
For those of you who want to learn new exciting moves, review old ones, or
brush up on technique. . . All styles of INSTRUCTIONAL DANCE VIDEOS are
available for rental for only $2 per week, plus a $20 deposit. The VIDEO
LIBRARY is open about ten minutes before DI Wednesday night practices. For a

Regent 10-Dance Passes are also available to be purchased by students for
only $40 during this time.
For additional practice, social interaction, and fun, come to the FRIDAY
NIGHT DANCE held every week at the Regent from 8-11 pm!
and. . .The DI Dancesport Practice is tonight (Tuesday) from 8-10 pm at
Krannert. These practices are specifically for those dancers with a partner.
Also. . . The next officers' meeting will be held on Friday, July 2 at 6:30
pm at Panera (in the Old Farm Shops). The first half hour is open to any
member with specific business to discuss. The next General Meeting will be
held on Wednesday, July 7 at 9:30 pm at Krannert.
And. . ."Sleep with the Fishes", the pool/slumber party and first official
social event of the summer was a great success. All who attended should thank
John for allowing us to use his house, and Lisa for planning this exciting
event.
