Looking for power, glory, prestige and the admiration of your fellow man?
Elections for Dancing Illini officers are tonight! Nominations will close
and elections will be held at practice at the Regent Ballroom at 10:00 pm.
In exchange for running the club, DI officers and chairpersons get FREE
admission to DI classes and events, plus other perks like no deposits
required for borrowing videos and an end-of-semester dinner on the club.
Additionally, it looks great on a resume that you helped run a 200+ member
club with a $15,000 yearly budget! Former officers have gotten jobs based
on their management experience as club officers!
All of the club's positions are open for one year terms starting May 1.
The following elected positions are available (accepted nominations listed):
President (Rob Miller)
Vice President (Caitlin Weigel)
Treasurer
Secretary
Competition Chair
Education Chair (Regina Pareigis)
Teaching Chair (Tanja Hodges)
Public Relations Chair (Jim Phillips)
Social Chair (Lisa Kompare)
Workshop Chair
The following appointed positions are also available:
Webmaster (Carlos Gonzales)
Video Librarian
Carpool Coordinator
Music Dude
Only student members may serve as President, Vice President, or Treasurer
but all other positions are open to the entire Dancing Illini community.
The chairperson positions can be filled by more than one person.
