    Dear Dancers and Future Dancers,

    Dancing Illini classes continue this semester with new beginner
    courses in Foxtrot & Quickstep and Rumba & Samba. We will also have
    Continuing Cuban Salsa (Rueda) for those with prior Rueda experience.

    You don't need a partner and beginner courses are FREE the first week,
    so come to the University YMCA on Sunday, October 14 and give it a try!

    Please also join us for our annual competition and workshops the weekend
    of October 20-21, free for UIUC students as spectators or competitors

    Courses:

      Beginner Foxtrot & Quickstep
      Sundays, 5:00-6:15pm, 5 weeks, Oct 14-Nov 11 at University YMCA
      taught by Illini Dancesport, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

      Beginner Rumba & Samba
      Sundays, 6:30-7:45pm, 5 weeks, Oct 14-Nov 11 at University YMCA
      taught by Illini Dancesport, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

      Continuing Cuban Salsa (Rueda)
      Sundays, 8:00-9:30pm, 5 weeks, Oct 14-Nov 11 at University YMCA
      taught by Tanja & Ron, beginner Cuban Salsa required

      Courses meet at the University YMCA's Latzer Hall (first floor),
      at Wright and Chalmers in Champaign, just west of Lincoln Hall.

      Repeat students are welcome in all courses.

    Pricing:

      There is no need to pre-register. Try classes FREE the first week.
      Your $35 membership (or $40 registration if non-UIUC) entitles you to
      one 5-week course. Additional courses in the same semester are $25.
      Prices are per person; there is no couples discount. Please be
      prepared to pay by the start of the second class (October 21).

      EARLY-BIRD SPECIAL: Save $5 on membership if you pay the first week!

      Want to get your Dancing Illini classes for free? Volunteer your time
      as an officer! Email dancing at illinois dot edu if interested.

    Where We Dance:

      The Regent Ballroom has dancing most Fridays, 8-11pm, $9. The music
      covers everything we teach and more, so join your DI friends at the

    Annual Competition and Workshops October 20-21:

      Our 24th annual intercollegiate ballroom dance competition will be
      held on Saturday, October 20 with workshops on Sunday, October 21.
      Free for UIUC students (thanks to SORF support) as spectators or
      competitors (we have special events just for beginning dancers).

      dance experience (or are currently enrolled in a Dancing Illini
