    Hello Everyone!

    You are cordially invited to attend the:

                 24th Annual Dancing Illini Dancesport Invitational

                       An Intercollegiate Dance Competition

                       Saturday, October 20, 2012, 8am-11pm
                       with workshops Sunday, 10am-12:15pm

        1401 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801,
        Illini Union Rooms A, B and C
        University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

    Our fun and beginner-friendly competition returns this year with new
    Tango and Jive events in the Beginner category and a lower price for
    gold-level dancers competing in the International-style Open category.

    Dancesport costumes may be worn in the Open category, but are
    otherwise prohibited to promote affordable ballroom dancing.
    Please read the dress code and Open Category rules carefully.

    Matt Rivers and Maliwan Diemer (http://www.mattandmaliwan.com/)
    will judge during the day Saturday, perform during the evening
    competition, and teach two Latin workshops on Sunday.
    Nino DiGiulio (http://www.mayihavethisdance.com/instructors/nino.php)
    will judge Saturday evening and teach two nightclub workshops on
    Sunday. All Sunday workshops are free for competitors.

    Cost: $40 for student competitors, $50 for non-student competitors,
    $20 for student ($30 for non-student) Open-only plus evening competitors,
    $20 for evening-only (student or non-student) nightclub competitors,
    $5 general spectators, free for UIUC student competitors and spectators
    (UIUC student participation is funded by SORF)

    All fees must be postmarked on or before that date or a late fee will
    be charged at the door.

    Good News on Hotels:

    For the third time in as many years there is NOT a home football game
    the weekend of the competition, so hotel rooms should be plentiful!

    Workshops on Sunday, October 21:

      Latin Track with Matt Rivers and Maliwan Diemer:
        10 am to 11 am - Intermediate Cha Cha
        11:15 am to 12:15 pm - Introduction to Samba

      Nightclub Track with Nino DiGiulio:
        10 am to 11 am - Introduction to West Coast Swing
        11:15 am to 12:15 pm - Intermediate Hustle
