Dear Dancers and Future Dancers,
The Dancing Illini has three beginner courses starting this evening:
Waltz & Quickstep, Cha Cha & Samba, and Cuban Salsa (Rueda).
You don't need a partner and beginner courses are FREE the first week,
so come to the University YMCA on Sunday, January 30 and give it a try!
Courses:
Beginner Waltz & Quickstep
Sundays, 5:00-6:15pm, 6 weeks, Jan 30-Mar 6 at University YMCA
taught by Illini Dancesport, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Beginner Cha Cha & Samba
Sundays, 6:30-7:45pm, 6 weeks, Jan 30-Mar 6 at University YMCA
taught by Illini Dancesport, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Beginner Cuban Salsa (Rueda)
Sundays, 8:00-9:30pm, 6 weeks, Jan 30-Mar 6 at University YMCA
taught by Tanja, Ron, Jim, & May, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Courses meet at the University YMCA's Latzer Hall (first floor),
at Wright and Chalmers in Champaign, just west of Lincoln Hall.
Repeat students are welcome in all courses.
Pricing:
There is no need to pre-register. Try classes FREE the first week.
Your $30 membership (or $35 registration if non-UIUC) entitles you to
one 5-week course. Additional courses in the same semester are $20.
Prices are per person; there is no couples discount. Please be
prepared to pay by the start of the second class (February 6).
EARLY-BIRD SPECIAL: Save $5 on membership if you pay the first week!
Want to get all your Dancing Illini classes for free? Volunteer some
of your time and enthusiasm as an officer! If you are interested
please email dancing at illinois dot edu. Elections are held in April.
Where We Dance:
The Regent Ballroom has dancing most Fridays, 8-11pm, $8. The music
covers everything we teach and more, so join your DI friends at the
