    Hello Everyone!

    You are cordially invited to attend the:

                 22nd Annual Dancing Illini DanceSport Invitational

                       An Intercollegiate Dance Competition

                       Saturday, October 9, 2010, 8am-11pm
                       with workshops Sunday, 10am-1:30pm

        1401 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801,
        Illini Union Rooms A, B and C
        University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

    Our fun, affordable, efficient, and beginner-friendly competition is
    a few weeks earlier than usual this year, so start making plans now.

    Ryan Evan and his partner Maliwan Diemer will back this year to judge,
    perform during the Saturday evening competition, and teach three Latin
    workshops on Sunday. Christopher Martin will also return to judge
    Saturday evening and teach a parallel track of nightclub workshops.

    Admission to workshops is free for competitors.

    Cost: $30 for student competitors, $40 for non-student competitors,
    $5 general spectators, free for UIUC student competitors and spectators
    (UIUC student participation is funded by SORF)

    Good News on Hotels:

    For the first time in many years there will is NOT a home football game
    the weekend of the competition, so hotel rooms should be plentiful!

    Workshops on Sunday, October 10:

    Night Club Track with Chris Martin

    Session 1 - 10 am to 11 am
      Introduction to Lindy Hop - Come take advantage of an award-winning
      east coast instructor and learn a little Lindy. (BEGINNERS WELCOME)

    Session2 - 11:15 am to 12:15 pm
      Intermediate Salsa - If you like your salsa spicy take this chance to
      learn a sequence that is almost too hot to handle. (Beginners Beware
      - this class will really move.)

    Session 3 - 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
      Intermediate West Coast Swing - West Coast Swing dancers know, it's
      all about styling. Come check out these smooth moves that will really
      improve the way you look on the floor. (Beginners Beware - this class
      will really move.)

    Latin Track with Ryan Evans and Maliwan Diemer

    Session 1 - 10 am to 11 am
      Intermediate Cha Cha - Our professional instructors from Chicago want
      you to come learn this intermediate level routine that will make your
      Cha Cha stand out on any floor. (Beginners Beware - this class will
      really move.)

    Session 2 - 11:15 am to 12:15 pm
      Introduction to Rumba - Come try out this slow and smoldering dance.
      If you already learned how to rumba, you may want to come anyway. Our
      instructors are going to focus on building solid rumba techniques.

    Session 3 - 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
      Introduction to Jive - Jive is a little like the swing on steroids.
      Please join us for this exciting and energetic dance. (BEGINNERS
      WELCOME)
