If you have dance experience and want to improve and compete, DanceSport
team auditions are Tuesday, Sept 1, 6-8pm, Illini Union Oasis MP room.

The Dancing Illini is kicking off the year with two beginner courses:
Hustle/West Coast Swing and Salsa/Nightclub 2-step. For those with some
dance experience, we have Accelerated Rumba & Jive and Accelerated
Waltz & Quickstep. Repeat students are welcome in all classes.
You don't need a partner, but due to the reduced room size this year
we are asking students to pay at the beginning of class the first week.
Courses:
Beginner West Coast Swing & Hustle
Wednesdays, 6:15-7:30pm, 6 weeks starting Sept 2 at McKinley Foundation
taught by Shaun & Silke, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Accelerated Rumba & Jive
Wednesdays, 8:00-9:15pm, 6 weeks starting Sept 2 at McKinley Foundation
taught by Illini Dancesport, partnered dance experience recommended
Beginner Salsa & Nightclub 2-step
Thursdays, 6:15-7:30pm, 6 weeks starting Sept 3 at McKinley Foundation
taught by Ron & Tanja, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Accelerated Waltz & Quickstep
Thursdays, 8:00-9:15pm, 6 weeks starting Sept 3 at ***CRCE MP2***
taught by Illini Dancesport, partnered dance experience recommended
Most courses meet in McKinley Foundation (***not church***) basement
(5th & Daniel). Accelerated Waltz & Quickstep meets in CRCE MP2.

Pricing:
There is no need to pre-register. Your $30 membership (or $35
registration if non-UIUC) entitles you to one 6-week course.
Additional courses in the same semester are $20. Prices are per person;
there is no couples discount. The first week is not free this year.
Please be prepared to pay at the start of the first class.
EARLY-BIRD SPECIAL: Save $5 on membership if you pay the first week!
Want to get all your Dancing Illini classes for free? Volunteer some
of your time and enthusiasm as an officer! If you are interested
please email dancing at illinois dot edu and we'll find you a job.
Where We Dance:
The Regent Ballroom has dancing most Fridays, 8-11pm, $8. The music
starts out strictly ballroom and shifts to nightclub (e.g., hustle and
west coast swing) as the night goes on, so join your DI friends at the
