Dear Dancing Illini,
Your once-a-year chance to pad your resume with a high-profile officer
position, get all the dance classes you want *free*, and help steer a club
with a $10,000 annual budget into the future is coming up on April 17.
You don't need any special skills, just a commitment to doing your part to
help run the club. A few of our officers have been around for several
years so there will always be someone available to answer your questions.
Officer elections will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 8:45 pm (between
classes) at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Urbana. If you are
interested in a position but can't make the meeting please email
dancing+officers@uiuc.edu so we can nominate you at the meeting.
The following elected positions are available:
President (figurehead)
Vice President (backup figurehead)
Treasurer (manages club accounts)
Secretary (takes minutes and schedules meetings)
Education Chair (organizes classes)
Competition Chair (organizes annual competition)
Public Relations Chair (organizes advertising)
Social Chair (organizes dances and parties)
Workshop Chair (organizes workshops)
Teaching Chair (recruits and training teachers)
