Hello Everyone,
A final reminder to please join us for our Annual Dancing Illini Dessert Party
When – Saturday, December 8, 2007,
From 7pm until we’re done. Arrive when you like.
Why – Because it is a ton of fun to get together, meet some new friends, and actually have a conversation of more than 2 minutes with the folks you’ve been stepping on all semester. This event is sponsored by the Dancing Illini and all members, friends and family are welcome (so feel free to bring an extra guest or two along).
What to do – You supply a dessert or a finger food to share, our hosts -Peggy and Chris -will supply their home, and The Dancing Illini will supply hot chocolate, hot cider, sodas, chips, and some appetizers. If you don’t cook, don’t worry about it. We ALWAYS have plenty to eat so please feel free to come even if you don’t have a dessert to share.
One note, please be prepared to show off your holiday socks or fun slippers since we request that you leave your shoes at the door.
Where – The home of Peggy and Chris Huson - 2404 Edward St., Urbana
Directions:
From the north/west: Take University Ave. east past Cunningham/Vine to the next stoplight. This is actually the intersection of East University Ave. and East University Ave.! Turn right, which will have you following the signs for Rts. 150 and 130. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT AT THAT LIGHT BECAUSE YOU WILL END UP ON I-74 AND GO ALL THE WAY TO ST. JOSEPH! After you have turned right at that light, go 0.3 mile to a stoplight. This is Smith Rd. Turn left on Smith Rd. The first street you come to is Carrie Ave. Turn right; it only goes right. The second street you will come to is Edward St. It also only goes right, and you'll turn there. We're the tan ranch on the left, and you can park anywhere on the street.
From the south/west: Take Windsor Rd. east to High Cross Rd./ Rt. 130. Turn left north) onto Rt. 130 and go 2 miles, to the second stoplight (just past Walmart). Turn left at that light, which is Rts. 150 and 130, and go 0.7 mile to the first stoplight which is Smith Rd. Turn right onto Smith Rd. The first street you come to is Carrie Ave. Turn right; it only goes right. The second street you will come to is Edward St. It also only goes right, and you'll turn there.
