A final reminder, we are partying tomorrow - rain or shine.
The Dancing Illini would like you to join us for a POOL PARTY and COOKOUT on Saturday August 25th
When – Saturday, August 25th 2007, 3pm until we’re done - Arrive when you like, but the grilling starts at 5pm.
Why – Fall semester is starting and we want to have some fun. Sponsored by the Dancing Illini—all members and friends are welcome.
What – You supply your own swimwear and a towel. Peggy and Chris will supply the house, the pool, and the grill – cooking will commence at around 5pm. The Dancing Illini will provide burgers, chicken, buns, chips, and some non-alcoholic beverages. (If it rains, we’ll take the party inside and order pizzas.)
We ALWAYS have plenty to eat; however, contributions of beverages, appetizers, salads, or desserts are welcome – but not necessary.
Where – The home of Peggy and Chris Huson - 2404 Edward St., Urbana
Directions:
From the north/west: Take University Ave. east past Cunningham/Vine to the next stoplight. This is actually the intersection of East University Ave. and East University Ave.! Turn right, which will have you following the signs for Rts. 150 and 130. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT AT THAT LIGHT BECAUSE YOU WILL END UP ON I-74 AND GO ALL THE WAY TO ST. JOSEPH! After you have turned right at that light, go 0.3 mile to a stoplight. This is Smith Rd. Turn left on Smith Rd. The first street you come to is Carrie Ave. Turn right; it only goes right. The second street you will come to is Edward St. It also only goes right, and you'll turn there. We're the tan ranch on the left, and you can park anywhere on the street.
From the south/west: Take Windsor Rd. east to High Cross Rd./ Rt. 130. Turn left (north) onto Rt. 130 and go 2 miles, to the second stoplight (just past Walmart). Turn left at that light, which is Rts. 150 and 130, and go 0.7 mile to the first stoplight which is Smith Rd. Turn right onto Smith Rd. The first street you come to is Carrie Ave. Turn right; it only goes right. The second street you will come to is Edward St. It also only goes right, and you'll turn there.
