Dear Dancing Illini,

This is just a reminder. As always, experienced dancers are welcome to
attend the first night of our beginner courses to welcome our prospective
members, balance out gender inequalities, and reduce overall confusion.
We also have practices and a pair of excellent intermediate courses---
Samba/Jive and Standard Technique. No matter how many steps you know (or
don't know), a technique class will make you dance better. Try it!

This is our second-half course lineup, so spread the word to anyone
you'd like to dance with. You can take a course for only $20 if you
pay the first night, and everything is FREE the first week, so come
out to 310 Freer Hall (at Goodwin and Gregory) on October 9 & 11 and
give it a try! No partner or experience are required!

Beginner Tango & Cha Cha Tuesday 6:45-8:00pm (Tanja)
Begin. Salsa & Nightclub 2-step Thursday 8:45-10:00pm (Yuri)

Intermed. Samba & Jive (Swing) Tuesday 9:00-10:15pm
(Holly & Adrian. Latin/rhythm experience required.)

       Intermed. Standard Technique Thursday 6:45-8:00pm
(Bruce & Hilary. Standard/smooth experience required.)

Courses meet in 310 Freer Hall (at Goodwin and Gregory).
Courses start October 9 and 11 and run for six weeks.
Open practice 8-9pm Tuesdays and 8-8:45pm Thursdays.

Spring 2002, first 6 weeks, starts late January (tentative!):
       Beginner Swing & Hustle (definite)
       Beginner Waltz & Rumba (definite)
Intermediate Tango & Waltz (very likely)
Intermediate Salsa & Rueda (or other nightclub dances)

Spring 2002, second 6 weeks, starts early March (tentative!):
Beginner Tango & Cha Cha (definite)
Begin. Salsa & Nightclub 2-step (definite)

the first week of each 6 week run. Regular pricing is $15 per course
plus $10 membership dues (paid once per semester, non-UIUC pays $15 fee
instead). Prices are per person; there is no couples discount. Please
be prepared to pay by the start of the 2nd. class.
