Hello Dancers,
Greetings. As competion chair it's my job to tell you about our
Annual Invitational Dance Competition and Workshop weekend. We've got
competions in every dance and some special dances set aside just for
beginners. Everyone is invited to join us and take part in the fun.
This year the main competition will be held on Saturday, October 21,
2000, between 9:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m. That evening we will hold a FREE
social dance/fun competition were we will do some non-traditional competing
(i.e. same gender cha cha), get a chance to dance with all those cool people
you've been competing with all day, and see a terrific exhibition.
On the following day, Sunday, October 22, 2000, between 11:00 a.m and 2:00
p.m. there will be 2 workshops. The first workshop will be full of hot new
Salsa moves–straight from New York. The second workshop will be in Rueda
(an fun and exciting partner swapping version of Salsa in the round.) Chris
Martin—a professional instructor from New York city—will be teaching both
workshops.
We have a pre-registration special that allows each competitor to register
for the competition and both workshops in a single package for just $20.00
each—you save $15 .
This year you may register for the Competition, the workshop(s), or both
on-line.
