Tangueros Estimados de las pampas de Illinois,

We had the most successful milonga yet at the Phillips Recreation Center on
Saturday - 47 people attended, which is the same as in February, but this
time we didn't have the enticement of Tom 'El Tigre' Ronquillo's lesson in
milonga. An important noticeable change was more people dancing and with
improved skills. We were also honored by the presence of our special guests -
Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart - who have now completed another successful
series of tango workshops in Champaign-Urbana. They gave us a beautiful demo
of the kind of tango dancing we'd all love to be able to do.

There is no doubt that Argentine tango is here to stay in Central Illinois. I
remarked to Valorie at the end of the milonga that "We're on the tango map!".
Yes, we are now definitely a recognized center for the study and enjoyment of
Argentine tango.

If you have been watching our growth from the sidelines by reading the
e-mails from this list, now is the time to join us. It will be the best
investment you will make this year.

The next milonga is on Saturday April 8th at the Phillips Recreation Center,
starting at 8 PM. There will be a workshop before the milonga (topic to be
announced), starting at 7 PM. Mark your calendar. (Red marker is best.)

Join the Argentine tango community and share with us one of the better things
in life!
