To Argentine Tango folk,

We have a last minute addition to the Argentine Tango weekend schedule.

Valorie Hart has agreed to give her women's class called "Tango barre"
at 7pm Sunday (White Street Arts Center). The is a tango technique class
taught very much like a ballet class. It is very effective for developing
the balance and technical skills for use in Tango, and has been very
popular wherever Alberto and Valorie teach. It takes about 90 minutes and
she will charge $20 per person. Valorie says that men also may take this
class, and that whenever she has opened up to the men, they really like it.

The starting time for Tango Practica will therefore be changed to 8:30.

We just finished three terrific workshops. There is still room in Workshop
4, "Vals Cruzado", Sunday at 5pm. There are no more spots for private lessons.

If you are reading this Saturday night and forgot about the milonga (social
dance) at Phillips Recreation Center (Springfield and McCullough, Urbana),
come on over. Guerrilla Parlour Ensemble agreed at the last minute to play
from 8-9pm. The dance is from 8-11. Valorie and Alberto will do an
exhibition dance around 10pm. Admission is $3.00, and proceeds go to the
fund to make the "Tango" sculpture in Meadowbrook Park a permanent
acquisition of the Urbana Park District.
