are 3 really swingin' events this weekend: Thurs, Fri., and Sat.
Tuesday, May 4: Legends (on 6th and Green)
Wednesday: Dancing Illini Practice, Regent, 9:30 to 11pm
Thursday
Rocket 88, at the Canopy. Cover is only $5, show starts at 10.
We had a blast last time this Florida band came through here :)

(and Valentin's Graduation Party!)
featuring Dr. Bob's Swingin' Big Band

Free beginner Salsa lessons by Mark and Ece, 7 to 7:30pm.
Band plays from 7:30 to 11:30. Swing/Salsa dance contest: 9pm.
Location: Wesley Foundation Great Hall (Green & Goodwin).
Cost: $5. No smoking/drinking. ALL AGES!

Saturday, May 8
"Grand Central Swing Station" by the Central High School
Band Boosters. This will be at the new Multimodal
Transportation Center (train station) in Champaign.
Dancing: 9PM-1AM for $7. The 16 piece Mark Sheridan-
Rabideau Big Band, with former members of the Ray Charles
Orchestra, as well as the Dorseys, Stan Kenton, and Benny
Goodman! Also: the Virtues, a well- known local jump-
blues/swing band, & Edison Middle School and Champaign
Central Jazz bands. Proceeds to to Central High School Band.
