Here's the weekend update, followed by classes information. Keep it
swanky! Lots of fun this weekend, so please attend the events. Also,
for those of you who don't know yet, I'll be withdrawing from the U of I
for this semester (I'll come back in the Fall, to finish up). On April
30, I'm on a plane for Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, of all places. An
associate of the Prime Minister wishes to promote Ballroom dancing in
the middle east, and through an old connection from L.A., I've just been
assigned to teach the Swing and Lindy Hop sections this summer. That's
why I have to leave early. I'll keep you guys posted on the wild Saudi
nights!

Champaign County Nursing Home Swing Dance!
Dance/share stories with the ones who were actually there
back in the 30's/40's! 6:30pm to 8pm. From UIUC, go E
on Springfield, which turns into Main. Pass Vine, 1/2 mile
on the right. Free; all ages; I assume it's no smoking/drinking!
Friday
Cutting Edge swing night in 314 Illini Union. lessons by Jeff from
8:30-9:00 and music from 9-12. Admission: $2. all ages, n/s, n/d
Saturday
White Street Swing Dance, 9pm to 11:30pm
all ages, supervised, no smoking/drinking; kids/teens/HS welcome.
Location: White Street Arts Center, Champaign
(on White St., betweeen 3rd and 4th, behind the red brick house)
Admission: $1. Kids and teen classes before 9pm: YOU CAN STILL
enroll by this Saturday. Beginner teen classes at 7pm, intermediate
teen classes at 8pm, every Saturday for 4 weeks, ending in April 17.

entrance on Green St. Cost: $20 for four 1-hour sessions.
Partners not required. Classes are 4 weeks long, one class per

* For the aerials class, partners are required, and you must have
had previous swing or lindy experience. Classes are taught by
