(1) CARLOS SAURA'S "TANGO" starts THIS FRIDAY, April 2, at the New Art
Theatre this Friday (April 2).
Academy award nominee for best foreign film. By the director of "Carmen"
and the cinematographer of "The Last Emperor" and "Apocalypse Now". In the
movie is Juan Carlos Copes, the master tango choreographer of "Tango
Argentino". Also, I can't wait to see the great tango pianist/composer
Horacio Salgan, now in his 80s, I think, who plays in the film. Also,
musical direction and soundtrack by Lalo Schifrin. (Charles ... are you
reading this?)
Show times are 5:30, 7:30, and 9:30.
Additional screenings at 1:30 and 3:30 on Sat/Sun.

(2) ARGENTINE TANGO NIGHT at Cinzanoz last Tuesday was a lot of fun. We
were thrilled to see so many people come out to dance tango.
Cinzanoz management is very happy to have tango dancers in their club, and
told us that we can do it again any time. So, since the movie is in town,
we are going to have another dance at Cinzano's right away.
We thank all of you who came to the first Argentine Tango Night. You made
it a wonderful event. We invite you to come back again next week.

music playing by 9 at least. I'm talking with the Guerrilla Parlour Ensemble
about playing at this dance, but it is still not confirmed.

Owing to the holidays, we will not have Practica at White Street this
