played at the Bread Company ... it's fun. --jg]]

Greetings all.

The Guerrilla Parlour Ensemble--CU's only, if not the best, alternative
tango orquestra--will be performing this Saturday evening at the Bread
Company in Urbana (706 S. Goodwin). Amid the usual hijinx, we'll be
featuring Patagonian vocalist Paula Ostrovsky.

Also appearing: the elusive, mammouth, and ever-grooving Corcovado, gives
new meaning to the term "saudade," as they play all manner of Brazilian
music, from Bossa Nova to Choro to Samba. If you haven't heard Corcovado
yet, you're in for a real treat.

Things will get going at the Bread Company around 8pm, and fizzle out
around 11pm. As we've said before, "come for the music, stay for the
fondue." Hope to see you there!
