I have received some questions regarding swing classes, and I apologize
that I have been unable to answer them on a singular basis. I will try
to answer them here.

Question 1) Do I need to preregister for classes?
Answer: No. You'll sign up for class at the time of the first class in
the month. Please arrive early as the class will start promptly on the
hour. We accept cash or check (check preferred, made out to "Justin
Guinney"). Cost is $20 for the 4-week class.

Question 2) What is the difference between Lindy Hop and East Coast
Swing?
Answer: This is a very difficult question to answer via words. Most
often, you'll see people perform a hybrid of the two, although as one
gets to know Lindy Hop more and more, one will perform less East Coast
and more Lindy. Lindy Hop is considered to be slightly more intricate
with more patterned kicks (like the Charleston or tandem Charleston)
while East Coast is often danced to faster music. My suggestion is, if
you don't know the difference, don't worry about it. They are both very
similiar and are intermixed in clubs throughout the US.

Question 3) Are partners required?
Answer: No. We rotate partners frequently during class.

For those who are receiving information about these classes for the
first time, I have repeated this info below:

New 4 week swing classes begin again, starting Wed Oct 7 and Thurs Oct
8. I have added 3 more classes and included Valentine Prisecaru and
Mark Weiss as instructors. The class schedule is as follows:

Beginning Lindy Hop/Swing: Wednesday 6-7 pm or Thursday 7-8 pm
Intermediate Lindy Hop/Swing: Thursday 8-9 pm
Beginning East Coast Swing: Wednesday 7-8 pm or Thursday 6-7 pm
Intermediate East Coast Swing: Wednesday 8-9 pm

All classes located at the CRU Building, corner of Green and 6th St, 2nd

floor, entrance on Green St.

Cost is $20 for 4 week class. For those paying by checks, please make
them out to "Justin Guinney".
Classes will rotate partners (i.e. partners not required).

If you have any questions, please reply by email. Looking forward to a
new month of swing!
