---Hello,
This message is to announce a Swing Party going on Saturday May 9. It starts at 9:00. Yes, this is during finals week, but there are none on Sunday. And who cares about finals when a swing party is going on? The place is upstairs at 605 E. Green. The name of the building is the CRU (it used to be Tooter's for the older people). Cover is $2 and they DO NOT charge for water. To give you an idea, the dance floor is about twice to three times the size of Mabel's and infinitely bigger than at Legends.
This will be a more formal setting with a 40's atmosphere where you can do the whole suspenders, zoot suit thing. Hopefully, one of the Swing Society officers will be giving lessons, but this has not been confirmed yet.
However, the place and time are set and are definite.
One last thing. This place is not a bar, so no alcohol will be served or brought in, and smoking is prohibited, and please dress somewhat modestly. I'm sorry if this sounds strange and obtrusive, but most swingers I've met don't drink a lot or smoke while dancing anyway, so we should be fine.
