Hi everyone,
This May brings us the long-awaited Chicago Classic; a _huge_ Swing
dance
convention sponsored by the Chicago Rebels Swing Dance Club, featuring:
workshops taught by top pros from around the US,
Swing dance competitions at all levels from "newcomer" to "pro,"
hours & hours of social Swing dancing, and
nightly Swing dance parties.
I've gone for the past few years and had a blast every time.
The convention runs Friday-Sunday, May 8-10, in Arlington Heights, IL.
I'm putting together a big group of dancers to attend this event
on Saturday, May 9. We'll attend great workshops, watch high level
competition swing dancing, and then dance til our feet are sore!

I'll collect names, and help organize transportation & car-pools via
email.
A three day ticket costs $70 before May 1, ($80 after May 1)
It will probably cost about $30 to buy a day pass on Saturday.
Workshops (group dance lessons) cost extra. The list of workshop

(20 minutes from O'Hare Airport/30 from Midway)
Again, we'll be going as a group for Saturday only, (but Swing addicts

obtain a 3-day pass by calling call 773/202-1823. Rooms at the hotel -
up
to 4 people per room - are $85/night.)
