Our social events are an awful lot of fun (you get to dress up and look
real nice while ballroom dancing)! Obviously, since many of the dance
clubs around here don't have a "HEY-COME-BALLROOM-DANCE NIGHT!", we also
give you some chances to show your stuff on the dance floor with our
social dances!

Location: Illini Union Rm. A

Date: Friday, May 1

I would like to note to everyone that these occasions are completely open
and you can bring anyone you like! Your friends, your boyfriend or
girlfriend, the cat (just a joke), anyone who would like to give ballroom
dancing a shot can come!

Please note that the Regent Ballroom also holds a Social Dancing Night
every Friday night from 8-11pm so you can attend those also and do
some dancing! The cost is $6 per person and, afterwards, you can stay for
Salsa night from 11pm-2am--no extra charge!!

WORKSHOP INFORMATION
We also provide workshops that are specified to certain dances and allow
you to further your technique and form as well as (most importantly) have
fun! Many dancers from other states (including Indiana and Ohio) travel
to learn under the instruction of professional dance instructors that we
hire to do the workshops!!

The Dancing Illini would like to invite you to a dance experience you'll
never forget! Join professional dancer-instructor Sandy Lampert, and
owner of Top of the Levee Dance Studio, as she teaches a fun-filled day
of West Coast Swing, and International Viennese Waltz!

The following summarises the workshop information.

you just learned.

3:00 - 4:30 pm Int Viennese Waltz

poise and styling.
There will be something to learn for everyone.
If you have not had any experience with Int Viennese

For those who have had some experience, there should
be plenty of ways for you to further improve your

the workshop. It should definitely be a challenge
for you.
