Hello all,

Looks like my little post has revealed a secret yearning for dance
shoes... among the guys in town! First off, I'd like to urge everyone to
post freely (about dance-related issues) to this list. Don't be shy...
just because it's been a bit quiet lately. You never know who else has
your same concerns... or the answers you need, until you post!

Now, never having worn men's dance shoes, I can only help minimally.
First off, go to the DI Web Page and scroll down to the link to the
cheap dance shoe faq... a very helpful internet resource that's compiled
by our own DI video librarian, Mark Balzer...

I am very willing to let people (men and ladies) look at the shoe ctalogs
I have... but I also urge you all to bend the ear of our knowledgeable
dancers in town for the voice of experience...

I include the following (anonymously) because it's a very real and common
conern... and I know there are others better equipped to answer here in
town....

So everyone wiggle your piggies and see if they can touch type!

Hi Sheena! I've been looking for some dance shoes for some time. Being a
guy I've found this quite difficult. (Not sure what you women have to deal
with when looking for shoes...) The trouble is that my feet aren't nice &
pointy like it seems all the European shoes want men's feet to be. I have
large toes and a wide foot. This makes all of the dance shoes I've tried
uncomfortable at best. Soooo, do you have any tips on what I can do for
dance shoes? Do you think there are *any* dance shoe manufacturers who make
shoes that would fit my non-european feet? (I've been told that Europeans
tend to have more pointed feet, but that may just be rumor.)
