Dancing Illini Swing Formation Team

Hi everyone! This is Allison Cobb, captain of the DI S.F. Team. I hope the
summer was fun and relaxing but that you're ready to join a great fun
team! For those not familiar with the team, we practice one nite a week
during the beginning of the semester and then twice a week near
performance time. The idea behind the team is that all couples dance the
same moves while organinsing into different shapes on the floor as the
song progresses. Last year was a great time and learning experience.
So, if you have taken a beginner swing class and would either like more
information or already know you would like to join, please email me.
After I receive these replies, I'll schedule an informational meeting to
get the ball rolling. Last year we had 4 couples. We don't have a
maximum limit as of yet. It would be nice to have at least 6 couples to
rotate performances becasue no one's schedules ever match. In regards to
performances, we performed at the Indiana Ballroom Dance club, for the DI
at the Regent, after the beginner lessons, and at Lincoln Square Mall.
There are many options of places to perform as well as competitions and
workshops we could attend as a team. I'm looking forward to another
