Jay,

Could you please make the entire proposal available on the DI Web Page?
It is important for all details to be made public before the meeting.

Also, could you post the agenda for this meeting? Since there has been no
public discussion of this topic, I am a bit unclear about what the goals
of the meeting are, at this point. I assume that you plan to give an
overview of your proposal, and then open a detailed discussion... and
then those attending decide if any changes need to be made (and organize
the formal presentation to the club at large), or if the past format should
stand (and comp preparations can proceed), right?

As to the above, I think it is a bad idea to schedule any activites other
than the social dance on Friday night. We want to give people ample time to
travel, arrive, have fun, find who they are staying with, and
pre-register... it's supposed to be something fun to join when you
arrrive, not something you should have to hurry to with events to miss.

Additionally, I think it is a bad idea to create a schedule for Saturday
that is any more pressured/ packed than that of the past. People enjoy
the competing more if they have enough time to eat, rest, get dressed up,
and cheer on their friends...

I think Henry makes very good points... perhaps we could not load up the
judges' duties by hiring a crew of people equipped with those big hooks...

PS: I still hold the opinion that seriously drastic changes should
not be voted on during finals week of summer semester, and thus,
should not be institued for this year's comp.
