Join these salsa and merengue lessons and learn the fun of latin dancing.
First class is FREE, this Friday April 4th. Come and have fun with us!
No previous experience or partner needed. We will learn mainly salsa
and merengue, but also we'll try out other dances like cumbia, meneito,
lambada, vallenato, cannandonga and carrapicho.
You can register for beginner-intermediate or intermediate-advanced
level. The beginner level is for those without previous dancing
experience and the class will be focused in teaching the basic steps and
turns, how to identify and move to the beat, posture and style, basic
footwork, and the basic principles of leading (and following, of course!).
The intermediate-advanced level is designed for those who have
taken dancing classes before and want to improve their skills and learn
more about spins, turns, advanced footwork, group dancing, style and
leading.
ATTENTION!!! THIS TIME WE WILL HAVE OUR FIRST CLASS AT THE ILLINI
UNION AT 5:00 PM FOR BEGINNERS AND AT 6:30 FOR THE
INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED. JUST BEFORE THE LOCAL BAND ADELANTE STARTS
PLAYING!!! THE REST OF THE CLASSES WILL BE SCHEDULE AS FOLLOWS:

April 11 to May 9: Beginner level......... 6:00 to 7:20 pm
Int/Adv level......... 7:30 to 9:00 pm
