competitions Yeah!

I know that not everyone knows me , but I am a begginer with the Dancing
Illini who recently experienced her first Comp. If any body out there
has ever had a doubt about whether or not to go to a competition , doubt
no longer. It is one of the best things you could do as a dancer. I had
my own doubts about wether or not I would be good enough to go , but when
I went, I found out that alot more begginer dancers go than you would
think. I was not the least bit uncomfortable with the people in the
competition. They were a friendly group and always willing to help me
figure things out. Also , I was rather surprised to see how incredibly
well taught our begginer classes were in relation to those of other
schools , all of our people , especially our beginners did exceptionally
well and I think that this can be credited to our incredible
instructors. In general , I think we were all very well prepared and
more of us shoulf get into it. I got several chances to dance with some
absolutly top notch dancers and have a wonderful time! There are even
categories for rookie guys dancing with veteran girls and visa versa.
There is another comp comming up soon in April and i think we should rock
the place!!! So, if you havn't had a chance to get into this yet , talk
to Andrew ,or an officer about it and join the fun!
