I have truly enjoyed working with Derek and I am very sad to see him
go. I will especially miss the enthusiasm and diligence that he brought to
his position. I've learned that I can ask Derek for something, give him a
minimum of instruction, and immediately cross that item off my list: the
next time I hear from him it will not only have been done perfectly, but
he'll have reserved the room to do it again next year!!! Derek, I can't
thank you enough for making my job so easy; I wish you came in 6 packs! If
you see someone sneaking up behind you at the party, it'll be me trying to
get a lock of your hair so I can clone you! :-)
Under his tenure as Social Chair, Derek made a number of changes that
have received rave reviews from club members and visiting dance clubs
alike. If you've enjoyed yourself at a recent DI dance, picnic or party,
you have Derek to thank. I hope that everyone will take this last
opportunity to do just that.
