Maybe some of you DI "old-timers" remember the glowing reports I brought
back after attending a swing-dance convention in Memphis, Tennessee.
Four straight days of swing-dancing w. fantabulous dancers from all over
the U.S.!
Memphis was too far for most of you to go. But NOW -- a similar event is
coming to St. Louis! That's right! St. Louis is hosting its own
swing-dance convention this coming Labor Day weekend! There will be
PLENTY of swing-dancing, plus workshops by such greats as Mike & Amber
Cross, Craig Hutchinson, and Butch & Betty Berrey. Registration is only
$30 thru Feb. 28th, then goes up after that.
The Convention ("Rollin' on the River!) will be held at the Adam's Mark
hotel downtown & coincides w. the Big Muddy Roots and Blues Festival, so
there'll be lots to do.
I would be happy to send the club some fliers for distribution if you'll
email me the name & address of a contact person. (Sorry, I don't have
the info on email, nor do I have the postage budget to mail out single
copies).
The St. Louis Swing Invitation is still occurring at the end of June, so
plan to come down twice -- once to watch competition, and once to DANCE!
