For those who are not aware, there used to exist a coterie of
dancing illini folks that would descend on the Rose Bowl (not
the one in Pasadena to which the fighting illini may never
make it again, lest Lou Tepper is let go...:-) ) to practise
some swing, cha-cha, hustle and West Coast swing dancing to
a live band playing country music. Recent rumblings to resurrect
this tradition, that has died down much like the trips to C-Street
tuesday nights, have been detected on the DI seismograph....
Therefore lets take preemptive action. This Sunday at the Rose
bowl then, between 9-11 pm, come join us. Get a few drinks,
swing a little and get better at your dancing...
To those that are taking the WCS swing lessons with Amy, this
is a great chance to practise those steps. To the others, just
join us coz' its fun. There is a fair amount of floor space and
the bar folks are near darned friendly most of the time..;-)
