Hi Everybody,

I like to thank so many of you for saying good thing about my classes. I'd
like you to do that again every semester before my classes starts :-)

Teaching dance classes has always been my passion, with your help through
the years I learn few things about teaching better classes.

Goals for these International Classes are simple: Teach good, logical
techniques to social dancers so you can enjoy dancing more. Have a good
foundation can help you reach higher goals in the future.

I would like to invite you to join me for a new six week course below:

"International 1B"

Friday, October 18

6:00-7:00

Waltz, Quickstep and Cha Cha

I'll need 20 to open this course, if you can not make the first class,
please e-mail me.

Sorry that I can only teach one class instead of two, as a father of three,
I would like to see them for few hours before they go to bed.

David Lin

Hello everyone!

I will be holding a get-together this Sunday, from 5:00 to 9:00 at my
place (see directions below).

The object of this party is to get really goofy, make a bunch of funky
buttons, help the comp chairs with any last-minute tasks, perhaps
squeeze in a showing of The Nightmare before Christmas or MST3K, and to
generally have lots of fun.

***** If you've seen this message, consider yourself invited! *****

The plan: Order out pizza (or something), help Jay and Joyce with
comp-related tasks like numbering the tickets and making special
Volunteer buttons, and to make lots of 'Ask Me to Dance' buttons.
(Not to mention help me finish that stupid puzzle!)

Around 9:00 we will move the party to either the Rose Bowl to
swing, or the Blind Pig to salsa. Rumor has it that Mark Balzer
will be presenting an Intermediate Salsa lesson at the
Blind Pig at 9:30!

What I will provide: Lots of ready-to-go button circles. A few
snacks and some pop, leftover wine coolers from the
last party, space to work, assorted: glitter,
small confetti, stickers and colored tissue paper
(to decorate the buttons), and some glue and
one whole pair of scissors.

What to bring: Your own scissors to trim deco-stuff, a glue stick if you
have one, anything small that tickles your art-fancy that
you haven't seen on the first batch of buttons. Enough
$$ to order out for dinner. Any other beverages you want
to share. (Yes you are welcome to bring beer, wine coolers,
etc.) (Glitter fights are not allowed!)

See you there! Don't forget to bring your Partner Sign-Up Sheets!

PS: If you want to design your own button lay-out, you can pick up a
sample circle tonight at practice, to help you with spacing. Use
this to help you determine text sizes and to also help place as many
buttons as possible on one sheet of paper (8 or 9 will fit on and
81/2 x 11 sheet). Bring your printed copies to my place, and we'll use
the circle cutter to quickly get them ready to be buttons. Please keep
your message similar to the happy, open and inviting message of the
'Ask me to Dance' buttons.
