In the last few days my mail box has been stuffed with email
on whether the club's money has been spent in an
appropriete manner or for the proper cause. Since I'm
a new member I wasn't going to say anything, but
after reading all those email I think
I would like to provide a little input, perhaps from a
different perspective.
Even though I have been with DI only for a short amount of
time, I think DI is a well organized, publicized, and managed
club that serves the interests of its members well.
I think so because, among other things, I see the frequency and
quality of DI events; the quality and price of DI classes;
and the timely manner the officers communicate with members
through email and webpage. I think the mere fact that DI has
over 230 members proves that I'm not alone in my believes.
And I think what made DI such a club is because there
are people in the club who are committed to bringing the
joy of dancing to as many people as possible. To these
dedicated people I give my thanks.
As far as the debat is concerned, I know that all parties taking
part are just trying to find ways to make the club BETTER. I am
glad to see that there are so many people who are concerned about the
future of the club. I'm sure working together you will not only
address any possible irregularities but also take the
club to new and greater heights!
I think the parties concerned should take each other out
for lunch and in an atmosphere of commradory, thank each other
for their dedications to the club, both in raising the
questions and in answering them. Afterall, in this volunteer
organization, everyone is just trying to work for the common
good, RIGHT?!!!! That is what has and will make this club
a great organization. So CHEERS!!!!
