This Friday, August 30th from 10am to 3pm, is Quad Day. This is the day
when all the registered organizations at the University set up booths on
the Quad and introduce themselves to the entire student body. The DI
officers have arranged to have a booth on the Quad *and* demo time on
the showmobile stage.
(Here's where you come in)
We need your help to work the DI booth, hand out flyers, dance at the
noon to ?? demos and generally smile and gush about the DI. In return,
we'll provide lots of free soda and suntan lotion.
At this point, we need a coordinator (or a pair of coordinators) and lots
of happy DI members willing to 'person' the booth for one-hour time slots.
It seems that bad luck and the University gods have captured the time of
many of the usual energetic organizers. Many of the DI officers and
instructor-type people will be out of town or trapped in university
teaching seminars. Thus, we REALLY need help! An hour or so of your
time could make a big difference.
If you are interested, come to DI practice this Wednesday. Quad day
flyers and the DI banner will be waiting for someone to give them a good
temporary home.
