We will hold a special officers' meeting Wednesday, August 14th
evening. Meet at 7:00pm at Monical's Pizza on the corner of Neil and
Kirby. The meeting will adjorn in time for everyone to attend DI
practice at 9:00pm.
This meeting is devoted to deciding which special events should get top
priority during the fall semester. A few potential options include:
o DI Special Events: Workshop weekends and the DI Competition
o DI Graduation and 'tea' Dances
o DI Theme dances, in the Union
o Special Courses, lessons in local nightspots, etc.
o Out-of-town field trips
o Interaction with other clubs
o New mentor program, to augment tutor program
o etc....
Many factors will be taken into consideration including, but by no means
limited to: member enthusiasm, club unity, time constraints, location
availability, current club interests and needs, etc. etc. etc.
Since we have so many awesome dance opportunities to choose from, we want
to choose the best ones.
Any suggestions are welcome. If you cannot attend but have ideas to
contribute, please email me at sbeavers@uiuc.edu before 4:30 Wednesday
afternoon. We are interested in your constructive input. I will compile
any and all comments and present them at the meeting.
