Hey everybody,

Here is the info that I have on the Pan-American Fest in Chicago. It
will be at Soldier Field the weekend of Aug. 17 & 18 from noon to 11pm.
Carlos Vives, Tito Rojas, Marc Anthony, Dave Valentin, the Merenbooty
Girls and several other acts will be performing on two stages.

I know that Marc Anthony is performing on the 18th (NOT the 16th, as I
put in my earlier mailing), but I don't know the dates or times for
the other artists.

Tickets are $7 and are available thru ticketmaster.

p.s. In case anybody plans on staying in Chicago for a couple of days,
there is a great spot to hear Latin Jazz. The Buddha Lounge (728
W. Grand) features the Latin Jazz group "Habana" every Tues. nite.
Cover is $5.

p.p.s. Does anybody ever wonder, if there is so much good stuff happening
in Chicago, why in the hell do we live in Champaign?!? ;->
