This depends in no small part on how many times I hear the phrase "demo doll"
associated with my name. :)
As you might have guessed, I'm the demo doll Mark referred to. A handful
of you on this list might actually know me already. The woman Mark referred
to is Jeannie Tucker. Barry Jones and Ramiro Gonzales (two of the most gifted
male swing dancers on the face of the earth), along with Annie Hirsch (the
head judge at nearly every national swing convention) and Jack Bridges (the
organizer of the U.S. Open Swing Championships) have quietly acknowledged
her has perhaps the most technically gifted female on the swing circuit.
Students all across the country have thanked her for finally explaining HOW
to do all the things that other instructors have been telling them to do,
and event organizers have praised her for being the most professional and
easy to work with of the big names on the circuit.
She would be more than happy to teach West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing,
Hustle, Nightclub Two-step, and Country in C-U if asked.
Incidently, Jeannie and I will be teaching in Boston in October, and probably
Minneapolis in November. We will also be the featured instructors on a dance
cruise to the Caribbean next February.
We'll be billing ourselves as "The Princess and the Peon."
