Ready to learn more Salsa? Here is the information.
SALSA CLASSES
SPRINGER RECREATION CENTER
MONDAYS JULY 22-SEPT 2
8:00 - 10:00 PM
INSTRUCTORS : MARK JOHNSON AND ECE KARATAN
For this seven week course the Champaing Park District has given us
accesss to their large dance room which is air-conditioned, spacious with
full length wall mirrors and a very nice floor. In addition to the space the
we also have a 2-hour class period.
This class is designed for those who want to learn the dance, and for
those who have taken it before and want to perfect thir skills. During
the first half of this class you will learn the basic steps and turns,
the ability to identify and move to the beat, the basic principles of
leading and following. During the second half of the class you will learn
the more advanced skill, spins and turns and footwork. We will also take
a more in depth look at leading and following. Once again the only
prerequisites for this class are the ability to distinquish between right
and left and the ability to count to four.
The Springer Recreation Center is located on the corner of Randolph and
Church ( on both Green and Brown bus lines). The fee for the class is
$30.00. As always the first class is free so come check it out. For more
