The next Tango Society at the Phillips Recreation Center is next Saturday Oct
2 from 9:30 PM - 12:30 AM. The cost is $5.
The last hour of the music program will be modern tango music. This is a
special blend of recordings of a variety of creative tango music from orchestras
from Buenos Aires over the last 30 years. The first 2 hours will be selected
from the best traditional tango music of the Golden Age.
Prior to the milonga, starting at 8 PM, Ron & Susana and giving a lesson
entitled "Dancing to Piazzolla, Pugliese, and other modern tango music", a
preparation for the last hour of the milonga music program. This lesson will
emphasize recognizing and connecting with the rhythm in complex tango music. The
lesson costs $7 and includes admission to the milonga.
