The milonga at the Phillips Center was an incredible success! The Guerilla
Parlour Ensemble provided a wonderful environment of live tango music that is
rare outside of Buenos Aires. They gave us their finest performance! The
dance floor was filled with tangueros intoxicated with the music, dancing to
their highest levels. There was excitement, comraderie, a blending of the
best features of our young tango community. We reached a new height, not only
in atmosphere, but also in attendance, with 68 people present. I was pleased
to see a number of Dancing Illini present, some of whom have not attended
milongas in a while. Welcome back. We missed you. Be sure to join us again in
the future. Our young tango community is growing rapidly and generating an
excitement that can only be understood completely by being there and
    experiencing it yourself.

If you had the regrettable misfortune of missing this milonga, don't be
dismayed. There is another milonga at the Phillips Recreation Center in 2
weeks, on Sat Oct 6. Erica Sutton, from the Chicago School of Tango, will be
giving 2 workshops prior to the milonga, one on Women's Technique, and
another on Improvisation in tango. Your dancing will benefit greatly from
    your participation.

We hope to see you (again) soon.

    Leonardo
