My given name is Rosemary Irene Braun. Officially, I'm a grad student.

What I do -

I study biophysics with computers. I rant occasionally. I negotiate contracts and make trouble. I help a bit with systems administration. I sabota^H^H^H^H^H^H^H help maintain collaborative software for biophysicists. I read to the exclusion of other activities. I cookcleansewgarden and keep two cats.

Where I'm from -

Everywhere. But I have arguably made Urbana my home since coming here in 1996, and know more people and am more involved in the community than I have been any place else. It's also the longest I've been in one place for many, many years. Googlism reports the truth that "rosemary is native to the mediterranean region."

When I'll go -

Urbana seems to encourage a certain stasis in its in habitants. Just as soon as I finish this degree...

How I am feeling -

I'm heavily left-leaning. I love and hate my home. I miss my friends who are away. I'm severely addicted to caffeine, and coffee is the way I sate my cravings.
