The sole drawer in an austere maple table contains the stuff of relaxation and a box of 5.25" floppies marked with the words bedtime reading. The file readme.txt on the first disk contains some remarks about an ideal of electronic media being exploited in a way which distinguishes it from print in a manner other than its distribution; you skip it and move on:
