Suggestions about studying and exams from Prof. Schulten
Before each lecture, read over your notes from the previous lecture, notes
handed out in class and the relevant part of the text the book of your
choice, so you'll get the maximum benefit from the next lecture.
Before each examination, read over your notes and the sections of the textbook
covered in the lecture. Make a brief list of relations that you'll find
useful to know "by heart". Work practice problems. For the examinations,
you'll be allowed to bring anything you wish, excep solutions (including
your own) to homework problems. Nevertheless, you'll want to know some
things "by heart", for the sake of speed and to adopt a routine in solving
quantum mechanics problems.
