If VMD is compiled with the VRPN option, the file
.vmdsensors is used to specify how to access external spatial
tracking devices. This file will be read when VMD is told to
initialize a specific external device. The Tracker library will look
for the file in the following directories in the order given, and
will use the first one found:
- $HOME/.vmdsensors
- INSTALLLIBDIR/.vmdsensors
This file contains extensive comments on how to configure the file
properly. There is no configuration parameter to change the name of
the file. If the VRPN option is omitted when compiling VMD, this
file is not necessary.
