You might want to follow a TCL tutorial 1st.

if {$i == 0} {

set ref_sel [ $sel_prot ]

} else {

            set M [measure fit $sel_prot $ref_sel]

            $sel_prot move $M

}

Subject: namd-l: "missing operator at _@_ in expression" for if statement

Hi everyone,

I am a new user and I am writing a script -

if [expr $i == 0]{

            set ref_sel [ $sel_prot ]

} else {

            set M [measure fit $sel_prot $ref_sel]

            $sel_prot move $M

}

However, there is an error message -

missing operator at _@_

in expression "1_@_{"

Anyone has experienced this before? Mind if you point out how to correct it?

Thanks,

Simon
