Compressibility of Berendesen Barostat (Simulations Near Critical Point)

Hi All,
Does any one know what could be a typical value for compressibility of Berendsen barostat for simulations near critical point of fluids?
At this region, fluids become extremely compressibile , more than 1000 times of default value for the liquid water.
 With increasing compressibility, the relation time should also be increased. Should their ratio remain around the default value for liquid simulations proposed in NAMD manual.
