Hi Albert,

have you used the same parameter files to generate the psf/pdb in vmd?

What comes directly to my mind is:

1. You edited the parmfiles and saved them with a different coding set (windows->linux / utf8,Unicode,etc.) or just broke them (goto 4)

2. The file toppar_water_ions.str has a wrong format/is not a charm compatible file (goto 4)

3. You used other parm files for generating in vmd <- error would have arised there already? (retry with right parm files in vmd)

4. Try to get the parm files new
