Control DCD file

Hello.

I have a simple question regarding to "control" dcd file.
I am dealing with a pretty large system and if I print out the whole trajectory, then dcd file size will be huge. So, during MD simulation, in order to decrease dcd file size, I would like to print out only solute and ions in dcd file. I checked NAMD tutorials, manuals and mailling list, but I could not find a proper example or command.
Is there anyone who knows how to print out certain part of system into dcd file?
